My Ultimate BC 14 build.

Nicely done. I think your pH is probably fine. 8.4 is a little high, but I would not be too concerned by it.

Glad to see you are also using a Reef Angel. I am going to steal your thunderstorm code to use when/if I ever put LEDs on my tank.

Yeah, after doing some research it is a touch high, but I think it is fine as well. This is most likely caused by my kalk drip.

I love my reefangel. If you have any questions I might be able to help you out.

Are you able to post some of the sizes of bulkheads and plumbing etc you've used?
Also, how many GPH is your return pump?
This might be a christmas project!

I am using a 1" drain and routed the overflow over the top of the tank and utilized the existing return. I just cut a small hole in the back of the hood to accomodate the 3/4" return.

I have a Quietone 4000 as my return, which is too big. I have it throttled back. I used the larger return pump becuase I am thinking about putting another 14g biocube nex tto my currnet one in the future.

If you look at the 3rd picture down in my original post. You can see how the supply and return are ran.

that's great, thanks. I am definitely going to do this.
I am going to use the existing biocube stand and build the sump right into it.
Thanks so much for the info!

I have good news and bad news.

Good News:
I have the new leds installed and it took less than a hour.

Bad News:
PWM dimming driver is not hooked up yet

Good News:
My Yasha Hase Goby that I thought was dead finally showed his ugly face this morning.

Bad News:
Peppermint shrimp was stuck to my MP10 this morning.

Good News:
My light for my frag area in my sump is built.

Bad News:
Still need to build my frag rack.

I am hoping to get the new driver hooked up and the frag light installed this week.

I will also get picture of the build put up later today.

Well, I have ordered a few more parts for my LED build. I have decided that I want my sump light and DT light to be run off the same two drivers. This will allow me to dim the sump light w/o having to buy a new dimmable led driver. Also, I decided that I want to add some neutral white leds to the fixture. I think this will help bring out some other colors in the build. Finally, in order to hook all this together I needed to buy some extra extensions and connectors.

I am hoping to have all the supplies next week. I paid for faster shipping. It is my hopes to have all this done before my zoa's come in.

Also, my Yasha Hase Goby is now out almost all the time. It is definitely one of the cooleset fish I have ever owned.

Really a great looking nano! And I love the setup.

Thanks for the compliment. Compliments like this are what keep me going. Sometime I get discouraged with how things are going or when I ruin $100 in LEDS. LOL

I am excited to get my additional LED's and my LE zoa's.

Got a 14g biocube today thinking about using it as a frag tank. Like the led mod you did, I have a few LEDs left over from another project and think I'll do the same just need a heatsink. Like your heatsink mind if I ask where you got it?
Thanks
