My Ultimate Multi Mantis System(s)

I did ask but it's first in best dressed usually since they have had so many put things on hold and not turn up to get them...

Off topic but quite curious about your history kharn. When did you first gain interest in stomatopods and obtain your first stomatopod? If you don't mind me asking

I first gained interest in Stomatopods at the end of 2010 that was when I basically discovered them for myself having not known about them previously.

By January 2011 I had my first Stomatopod, a G.smithii which I still have to this day, Eve.

Morgoth (L.sulcata) came close behind and was sheer luck since at the time I was sending emails, PMs to anyone I could that was a collector / store placing orders for large zebra spearers.

Originally I thought (along with everyone else on here except one...) Morgoth was L.maculata...Of course that 1 person is Dr.Caldwell who swiftly spoke up and assured me that it was NOT L.maculata something that kind of made me sad at the time, back then I just wanted the biggest of them all and L.sulcata was not one of these giants...it was from their on that I started to really begin to recognize the differences between even similar species.

In time I began to appreciate Morgoth a lot more beginning to realize that he was more of the lucky catch seeing as for a collector to differentiate between the 2 species whilst collecting is nigh impossible...and L.maculata is the well known more common species.

In the present...L.sulcata & L.maculata look like 2 completely different species too me.

Here is a little something....'Hobbit' inspired :D...

Something I altered slightly...

The Lord Commander and Chief,
the King of Hammer & Spear,
the King Beneath the Reef,
mankind shall learn to fear.

And the horn shall sing its siren,
at the Mantis Mans return,
he shall leave the land barren,
mankind will quake and burn.

- The Prophecy of Kharn.

Minnie (G.graphurus)

Maximus (G.graphurus)

Up Next Morgoth (L.sulcata), Ironically I came to realize that I somehow FORGOT TO FEED MINOS!...So he shall shortly follow.

The Leviathan is molting...

APTASIA ASSASSIN! :lol2:

Yes my Klein's Butterfly has proven to be the very BANE of Aptasia!

Ridding the 1st compartment completely of the pest anemones...countless of the little bastards got consumed and the Klein's only has much more work ahead of it!

Directly beside the compartment it has effectively stripped of all Aptasia...is another compartment...RIDDLED with the damn crap!

But not for long....:lol2:

Both Compartments, the left is cleaned the right is filled with Aptasia.

Finally as a sweetener, I have been slowly weening the Rabbit Fish onto Lettuce algae by keeping it hungry and offering it the algae day by day, initially it refused since it was fat from the mixture of food it got at the store..but after a few days of realizing THAT ain't coming back!

He began to feast and feast it has, now I can place any piece in front of it and it will greedily consume it all!

More to come :lmao:

Here he is...The Leviathan...my variation of Davy Jones 'Kraken', let it be known that if the Kraken did meet the Leviathan it would be a one sided fight...one that the Leviathan would swim away from with a very full belly.

The new video shows just how far your editing skills have come and your ability to tell a story. I will be showing this video off to my Budy's I will get back to you with the responces. For me I loved it.

Thanks for the comment :D it's really the only thing that keeps me going, I'm working on a new one now something a bit 'lighter' which will hopefully appeal to a broader audience.

A short compilation of my deceased giant smasher, the Juggernaut (O.scyllarus).

Here is a compilation of the small smashers, most of it is old footage to so their compartments are basic/empty and they themselves are much smaller then today. Ironically most of the footage is of my three G.graphurus, they perform very well in front of the camera and in general, something I have put down to more of a species thing then individual trait.
