My upcoming DIY LED/T5HO build & canopy lift

Here is my "canopy lift" concept I plan to build for my tank.

48" x 24" footprint tank with HeatSinkUSA (8.46" by 44") with 2 T5HO bulbs on each side for 4 bulbs total.

Canopy lift tilts up and back so I can still see into tank when needed to move things around.

The drivers are mounted on top and there is minimal highlight for the canopy.

Looks great, I love the hood lay out. The only thing I would change is removing the ballasts from the hood and make it remote. This will keep the ballasts cool and keeping the hood cooler. Other than that, I think the lighting coming out of this set up will be awesome.

Good idea about keeping ballasts cool. You mean the T5HO ballasts right? The Meanwells should be "ok"right?

That looks nice. I like being able to see into the tank with out blinding yourself.

What program did you use for that?

Yes, I did the build. But I may be taking it down soon due to a tank swap.
