I've got a Lunare wrasse and a rainbow wrasse and every time I put nori in tha tank they seem to love to shred it apart and make a mess of the tank! I don't think they're actully eating it though...Anyone else seen this?
yeah, they will do this periodically. Try wrapping the nori tightly AROUND an object like a tube or rock, so that it must be "pecked" off (like by a tang), rather than grabbed and pulled.
I have a Lubbock's fairy wrasse that LOVES nori. He'll stay at the clip, braving the angels' nips, until his belly is swollen with seaweed. He also adores coral waste, especially from the bubble. The amount of greenery he consumes has a strange side-effect... the angels follow the wrasse around and eat his poop! Seems they like second-hand nori just as much as fresh sheets
My big labouti will grab so hard he'll pick up the whole nori wrapped PVC pipe and carry it across the tank until he can get his bite. Mine, Mine, Its all MINE!!
LOL! I thought I was the only one. My pink magin gobbles down the nori like crazy, my mystery does too but not as aggressively as the margin. My tang literally has to bully her way in to get at the clip.
