I was guessing super high. There are some about 5-6" for $100 in my area, but if that was a special catch/order then economics tells me that the supply is far less than the demand!!!

i just got a 10 inch emperor from blue zoos great fish ,he also gets the orange tails he was going to get me a 7 incher for around 350 or 400 he can get the littler 5 inchers for alot less or bigger orange tails, ,i also got a 7 inch dussimer tang a beautiful fish, eating that day i got him,if i told you what i payed for the emperor you would crap ,a 10 inch extra large eating everything in less than 2 days, and that dusimer ,lets just say less than 300 for both shipped in a large box ,

You will never find a chrsitmas island emperor less then 7".. it really is impossible. The usual size they come is 8-12". They are giants!! But there is a significant color difference between them (just not the tail - which ornage looks better ) But in the whole body. They are much more vibrant and there aren't any smudges between lines that you see.

You wont find an x-mas island emp for under 200... Unless you order them direct from the island which only a handful of people can do. The 5-6" ones you see are the regular ones.
