Can someone ID this for me please. I know the pictures are bad...but this is the best I can do for now and the thing is tiny. It's orange and furry with whitish eyese with black tips on the big claws. 6 legs plus 2 big claws....I brought back rock from St. Croix about 2 weeks ago...maybe from one of those rocks? Is it a bad thing?

Could be very bad, seeing that its loving your acro there. I dont know... for now you should put it in your sump... it could be sitting there feasting on your SPS polyps.

You say you brought back rock from St. Croix? From a reef? if so your probably safe. If it was from the beach side, its better safe then sorry and living a life in your sump maybe the better way to go.

Your camera needs glasses lol, be sure your taking the picture straight the the glass.

Hairy + black tips = Gorilla crab.

You can search on that and decide if you want to try and get it out. Generally most people want Gorilla crabs out of their tanks.

thanks guys. It is a gorilla crab. Read mixed reviews. Mostly bad. He was easy enough to take out since that coral is on a small rock. He's in my sump for now. Anyone have a piece of chaeto? I need something to start with for my new sump!
