Mystery Critter?

I found this little guy on a yuma rock from The Coral Reef in Knoxville after I got it home tonight (very cool store by the way, I was impressed). Anyone have any ideas what he is? We're thinking an abalone perhaps? He was stuck to the bottom of the rock - we had to chip the rock to get him off. Is there any reason we should be concerned or just toss him in the tank?

I have 2 different kinds of those, they are harmless.

Yup yup. They reproduce like crazy, too.

We tossed him in the 46 last night. Those little guys can cruise pretty fast for snails!

Keep them in the tank.. veyr very good to have and yes they reproduce like rabbits. will climb to the top of the rocks and all shoot their stuff into the water. really cool....at one point I had 100's of them, but I think my Hawk ate them...

I got a paly frag and this was in the bag. Any idea what it is? Bad or good? I have it floatin' in the bag in case it's ok...

found out the snail is a "collonista". Just looked at some other pics and that's what it is.
