Mystery Fish

I am pretty new to salwater tanks and I purchased the fish below earlier today. The person at the store told me it was a lamarks angelfish. It appears to be a completely different fish. I assume thi s fish is juvenile, it is about 3 inches in length. I would also like to know if it is reef safe. Can anybody tell me what kind of fish this is?

Looks like a Singapore Angelfish, Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus to me.

As far as reef safeness goes this fish is safer than most angels but there is some evidence this fish feeds on the slime produced by LPS corals in the wild as it is often associated with them. This fish isn't a full sized adult but these are the adult colors. They dont have a very good survival record in captivity unless they are kept in a reef type tank. You might want to evaluate your LFS as they dont seem to know what they are selling.

Thanks--yeah i usually go to a different store. Well, maybe he'll get to stay because it is a reef setup.

One of the other ones sold me a bummed lion fish. Two stores down, one remaining.
