Mystery sponge and hydroids/anenomes

Hey all, in my fuge as well as overflows I have thousands of small hydroid/small anenomes. They do not seem to be hurting anything, but I am sure it is a sign I need to bump up my filtering and water changes..does that make sense? Also, I have many mounds of sponges that are a yellowish to white coloring, they seem to hang in lower light areas, like undersides of live rock and in the sump/fuge. Any ideas...if good or bad sign? As far as water chem goes- pH-8.2 temp 81, Ca 425, Po4-<1, NH4<1. Also, my calaceous algae grows like a weed as well as my macro algaes. It may just be that I need to change water more, but would like some feed back on what these critters are. Thanks in advance!! :eek1:

Going to need a decent picture to determine what they are ;) Getting various things growing like that is usually a good sign. The sponge is always good. The hydroid/anemones , depending on just what they are could be fine or could be a potential problem. This is where a good picture would come in handy.

That was what I thought as far as it being a good thing, since I know most sponges and hydroids/anemoes are usually very sensative to wild fluctuations in water quality. My concern was it seemed like they were taking over-LOL. But with that the pods and such that aslo rely on great water are showing up now too. The fish that I have in the 250 are very big eaters-hence the comment about more water changes-although water perameters are all excellent. I will get you a pic and send it tonight if I can. Thanks again!!
