Hi

I have a Nac9 Buble's Magus and made some noise, mainly due to the fact that the pump is a low-cost brand ...
I was wondering your opinion on what I do:

From what I saw in a youtube video of a Brazilian put a bomb in 5000 aquabee Nac9.
As my aquarium has only 300 liters which will be to replace the atman by a aquabee 2000 / 1?

Characteristics of the skimmer:

Needlewheel cone protein skimmer
BM-NAC9
Capability: 1500L-2000L (395g-530g)
pump: atman ph4000 (made in china)
Pump power: 25W, 220V 50Hz
air intake: 1020L / H
Dimensions: 310 × 260 × 570mm (12.2 "* 10.2" * 22.4 ")
Water Level: 9.5 "-11"

I hope you can give me an help
:thumbsup:thanks

It is unlikely that the brand of the pump is causing the sound in that skimmer. Atmann skimmer pumps are actually pretty decent pumps. My NAC6, and friends NAC3.5, NAC5, and hopefully my NAC8 that is coming today are all silent. The larger the pump the louder it is going to be.

Just wanted to update, NAC8 with Atmann 3000 is extremly quiet as well upon first fire up. It should be ever quieter over the next week or 2 with break in.

Not to hi jack the thread. What water level are you running the Nac 8? I have a nac6 right now and thinking of getting the Nac 8 or 9.

I have an NAC6. Skims like a beast in 10.5 " of water.

I believe that ALL of the NAC pumps are designed for 9"-11" of water. My NAC8 is at 10"
