Nano Reef

Me and Aquamama had a 6 gallon Fluval Edge with a white crayfish and a few feeder fish. Our crayfish died this week so we decided to go a different route and change the tank into a Nano reef.

This morning as a freshwater setup

Before water

This evening as the start of the nano reef with 4 lbs. live rock. I filled the tank with water change water from the main setup, mixed in a bit of the live sand and also added filter media from it as well. Hopefully we won't have an big cycle and we can start adding livestock soon!

So far just the stock led and natural sunlight from the window. Not sure what kinds of corals we are going to put in it so the stock light will work for now.

A little, but not too bad. It was bad trying to clean the glass with a crayfish chasing after my hand though lol.

correct me if I am wrong, but Sunlight on DT=bad?? Lots of unwanted/uneeded Algae.....

Yup I would cover the back glass with a black film or tint.
