Nano Reefpack and Osmolator

I recently installed a Nano Reefpack in my 26 gallon - it's a wonderful piece of equipment. I understand the Osmolator sensors will not fit in the 3165 filter housing. With the sensors in the main tank area will the water level in the 3165 housing not drop causing air bubbles to be sent into the tank?

It may, but if you set things up right it shouldn't be an issue, it mainly comes down to getting the levels right, you will have to lower the Reefpack or raise the sensors until you get the right balance.

Would it be out of the question to mount the sensors in the 3165 filter housing on the long wall against the skimmer? I realize I may have to create custom mounts for the sensors but it seem there would be enough room.

If it would have worked we would have done it. I actually designed this product and I couldn't make it work with the sensors, it leaves no way to install filter media.

Hello Roger / All,

Any tips of setting up the 3155 top up unit. I have justed purchased one and there are not many around in the Uk so not much in way of info / experience. Any help / advice much appreciated.

Roger - quick update on the micro bubble issue with my nano skimmer - my Uk distributor sent me a replacement cover and problem is now solved. Good to be back on the forum, we had a baby boy in January - he is already interested in the reef tank - a future reefer in the making!!

I would install the optic sensor on one rail and the float sensor on another with the float about 1" above the tip of the optic sensor.

Congratulations!
