nano skimmer question?

i have a aquapod 24 150 hqi. i brought the nano saphire skimmer and dont know where it goes in the tank. and ideas would help or pictures. right now i took out one of the blue filter pads and its resting on the bottom pad in the intake. is this right? thanks reefers.

It's supposed to go in the closed in small "sump" area in the rear of the tank, right?

Is there any way you could post a photo of your tank? I'm having trouble visualizing what you're talking about. I'm not a Biocube owner but I did some shopping for a cube so I know generally what they look like.

Looking down on your tank from the top, it goes in the back right chamber..
Yes, remove both of the blue sponges..
I'd add some chemi-pure or purigen in the back chambers, or even both..
I made 2 removable filters using 2 pieces of egg-crate and filter pads cut to size in between them, zip-tied together.. I put one in between the skimmer and the overflow, and the other up against the center divider in the back.. just to the right.. I change them weekly.. just to catch debris and help stop with bubbles (which for some reason my sapphire puts out a lot of bubbles into my tank)
