nano skimmer?

It isn't out yet. It will not be available for a couple more weeks. It is pretty much identical to the old 3110/2 but with a stronger pump and black in color.

thanks for the quick respond. where can i find the old 3110/2 model? do you have any user story like how much skimmate got pull out from this nano skimmer?

I have been very pleased with the 3110/2, you should run a search of RC for more info from users. I doubt you will be able to find one available, they quit making them at least 4 months ago.

Any of our dealers can get them for you when they become available. I will be in Germany next week and better able to answer then, they were slated to come out in late October, early November.

Don't know yet for sure. Probably a few weeks.

I am kind of surprised people are more interested in this than the Nano Reefpack 200. It is the same skimmer and you get a mechanical/chem filter and the magnet holder for another $60. To me, that filter running a ChemiPure sack is the dream nano filter.

I looked at that rvitko and if I understand it correctly, the mechanical/chem filter is attached to the skimmer. That would be way too big for my 12 gallon nano cube. To tell you the truth, the advertising was a little confusing. I'm still not sure if the mechanical/chem filter is connected to the 9002, and I didn't understand the 3.4 gallon storage container for re-fill water? The magnet holder looked really good though.

Will the 9002 work with a tank with an inside lip? Basically like an All Glass aquarium. I plan on using this on my nano cube but I've removed the factory top and have a MH pendant.

Roger,
can you post a link where i can find more info about this product? i don't know such skimmer exists.

thanks!

you are right. i found it. seems pretty nice, i would definitely be more interested in this than the skimmer alone because in a 10g aga, i must remove the ac500 fuge to make room. once the ac500 fuge is gone, i have no option but put the heater back to the main display. if i have the Reefpack, i can put probably put the heater there instead of in the main display. also, the Reefpack gives me option to run carbon which would be impossible if i got the skimmer alone.

having said that, i totally agree that:

Dimensions of the skimmer cup: L120 x W114 x H338mm (L4.7 x W4.4 x H13.3in.)

is way too big for a 10g aga. btw, is this the total footprint or just the skimmer cup?

The total unit is 4.7 * 4.4 * 13.3, I think they mean WITH SKIMMER CUP. The cup itself is about 3" diameter and 4" tall. They are two seperate components but glued together as one and by doing this the unit is big enough to use a magnet holder. The bucket is just the package it comes in. If you added the osmolator it could be your reservoir, otherwise you have a handy water change container. Packing these items in buckets ensures safe transport and actually doesn't cost much more than a card board box, I am always shocked by how much boxes cost for our packing and color printed ones, cost $4 and up.

It will attach to a tank with trim.
