Nano SPS Keepers...let's see whatcha got

Lunchbucket, that was a great looking Nano, from the sounds of it you were a Nano pioneer...Congrats for going against the grain and trying something different!

Wow lunchbucket!! that is a mature SPS nano tank!! Who says you can't use large tank strategies on a nano??!!

kev apsley - Thank you I really really enjoyed that tank it was great. I guess I just didn't have the room (college apartment living) for a big tank and wanted a small one that looked and worked the same so I did what I did. Also, I didn't understand why I should be limited to crappy PC lights and dosing supplements instead of MH's and Ca Rx's.

eaglesrx - It was pretty mature. Many of the corals touched the glass or return pump outlets. One had a flat spot where my cleaning magnet would run when I cleaned my glass. Many people never did "large tank strategies"...well no one really did. Everyone was doing water changes weekly to keep up w/ levels, no skimming, and dosing additives daily. I had to switch. My 10gal was using up 1.5gal of kalk/day and IIRC 60ml of Bionic a day and I couldn't keep up. Then I upgraded to to the 20H and the Ca Rx made everything so simple.

I tried finding my thread on Ca Rx's but I can't. I asked Randy Holmes-Farley and he stated there would be no ill effects except possibly too much CO2 into the system. It was a great thread w/ a few that wondered why and rolled their eyes :D

Ok this is pretty funny. All my subscribed threads. Read some of the topics on the last page (129) and 128 The threads are no longer accessible though :(

14 gal nano w/70 MH 14000k... CPR Bak-Pac skimmer w/ maxjet 1200 mod.

Its my wife's tank. I just spend money in frags and keep it going strong... Thanks for the comment.

BTW, We don't do water changes. or add anything to this tank... We just add Marine Snow and Zoo Plex. Once in a while.. I would say its the oversized skimmer that makes it work so good..

Keep my hands out of the tank!!! hahaha

A 24gal Aquapod......all I have time for these days. Better to run a nano than take a break from the hobby! :)
