Nano Streams, When Can We Get Them?

I know someone that's gonna have coal in their stocking and it ain't Roger.

If this is the worst thing happening in your life and you are this frustrated, I would love to live in your shoes.

I've seen the 6025s in action and love them. I'm waiting on the 6055s and if they don't get here til' Spleentember I'll still be happy with them I'm betting.
 
All good things take time, I'm sure they will be worth the wait. In manufacturing there are many things that can come up to slow the release. I will wait for them because Tunze consistently delivers a top notch product. Also they stand behind all there products, and if we do anything stupid we can count on Roger for excellent customer service!

hahaha this reminds me of the episode of southpark when cartman has to wait for the nintendo wii.

you know u can just cancel you preorder...or better yet if you are impatient just wait until it's released before you buy one

Every one of you missed the point. It is common practice for companies to use a release date as a marketing tool to build hype, i.e. "the great product is coming right now, so everyone go buy one" when they know the product isnt nearly ready for market. There is no way that Tunze really believed these were going to ship months ago when, for example, the 6045 molds just went to the factory in the past week or two. It isnt the biggest concern I have, but it irritates me.
 
I have two extra unopened Nano 6025 pumps which were sent to me anyway by Marine Depot even after I had cancelled the backorder. I plan on returning them, but if anyone want them for what I paid, PM me.

If it's "common" practice, why did you fall for the hype? Are you mad at Tunze for the misrepresentation, or mad at yourself for being a sucker?
 
I think I'm going to wait for the 6045's to come out and then pickup two of those and two 6025's. 80x turnover here I come ;)
 
I spoke with PA today, that's Dec 6, and they told me they expected a small shipment of 6045s "in a couple of weeks" while someone in my aquarium club recently bought a 6045 at aquatek in Austin. Roger, do you know anything about when PA will get some, and if aquatek has any more?

Any idea when everyone will receive the 6045? Are we going to get them by the end of January 2007??
 
Roger, exactly what part numbers will I need to make 2 6055's operate? I plan to have 1 controller to control both pumps at the same speed.

Its common practice for used car deals to roll back the odometer on a car too. That doesnt make it ethical or legal. Misrepresenting a product, including its release date, is fraud. Tunze should be ashamed of itself for being dishonest about its release dates. If they didnt know when a pump was going to ship, the should have said so. Period.

Every time I have seen Roger respond to a release date, it has been with a "should get them" or "hoping for end of" type of terminology. I have not seen anything mentioned about an actual date of release, as in "Nov 15". I'm waiting for the 6055 to come out. Roger had said he was hoping for some before the end of the year but found out recently that the earliest they will be here is end of Jan. Tunze are still worth the wait as their products and Roger's service are first class.

Fraud? Fraud is a strong word with specific legal implications. In order for it to be fraud, you need to have been damaged or suffered a loss due to Tunze's "deception".

Have you paid in advance for your order? If you haven't, the only damage or loss you have suffered is to your patience.

If you did pay in advance, you should take it up with the merchant. You have not transacted directly with Tunze, so they cannot have defrauded you.

Your comparison to used car dealers rolling back odometers is a red herring. Rolling back the odometer is a prima facie fraudulent, criminal act. You have not shown how you have been defrauded by Tunze. Exclamation Point.

If you really feel so strongly, put your money where your mouth is and instead of making this your last Tunze order, just cancel it. That way there will be a few more pumps available for people with a bit of patience
 
i just got a 6045 from my lfs, apparently they are the second largest tunze distributor in canada and had a bunch of 6025 and a handful of 6045.
i'm going to set up the 6045 tonight on my 90g, i'll post some pics tomorrow.
 
welcome to the hobby....when is anything ever "on time". i will say though, from the threads to my lfs, no one has ever given a specific release date.
