Nano Streams, When Can We Get Them?

<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=8484494#post8484494 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by jcm2m9
I am loking to get two 6025's for my 2'x2'x16' acrylic tank. My problem is that the sides are 3/4' acrylic and the magnets for the nanostreams are rated for 1/2". What other mounting options do I have?

The magnet holders are actually rated for 3/4", they made them stronger than initial specs.

I expect most everyone will have them by Thursday or Friday. I also don't foresee any shortages as we should get about 1000 by the end of the month.

Roger, Sorry if this has already been asked but will the 6055 work with a 6000 and a 7091 single controller if I get a Y adapter?

Roger,

What nanostream would you recommend for my tank. Dimensions are 48"l x 18"w x 16"h. It has all sps and a 1" sand bed for looks only. I was thinking two 6055 on a controller would this be to much for my tank? Please let me know what you think before I jump on a waiting list. Thanks.

Yes, but both pumps run the same program so both speed up and slow down together, which is generally not what most people want.

So the only way to have them alternate is to replace my 7091 with a 7095 multicontroller?

Roger,

I'm sure you're sick of answering these questions by now, but could you make a recommendation for my tank? It's an oceanic 58G (36.5x18.5x21) and while I don't have any corals yet, I plan to get some eventually. I don't think I can afford the controlled PH's..

Thanks,

Question about the nanostreams. Are the 6025, 6045, and 6055 really all the same size?
Yes.

I am running the sample 6055 I had for MACNA on my latest tank- a 58. It seems to be fine for the polyps, mushrooms and anemone I plan to keep.

The 6045 would likely require 2, the 6055 is a bit less flow that I would want in most situations, basically if I was going to keep an SPS or favia types I would probably add another.

I just got mine today...
Lucky bugger! I think you must have some secret UPS hookup.

Word on the street is they'll be arriving in the Great White North next week.

To the lucky one's that have them can we please see some pictures with them in your tank. Also I'm thinking of getting a Anenome down the road how safe do they look.
