Nano Tanks of GIRS

I got a Tunze nanostream 6045 today. I hope by having 100X turnover in the tank, it'll get rid of the red slime. It might seem like a lot of flow but the corals look okay. Even the frogspawns aren't waving around all that much. Anyway here's a couple pics of it. It's no bigger than a baseball if you're wanting a relative comparison in size.

How does it look in the tank?

I'm going to be posting some new pics of the nano within the next couple of days. I got some new zoas and some SPS from Lee, thanks lee so far everything is doing good.

Those zoas that were on the hermit crab shell are on the move now. It seems that over night one of my hermits thought that it would make a nice little home.
 
haha, thats funny. I wish I would have asked you if you wanted them mounted I could have figured something out for you.

It doesn't look too bad at all. No different from sticking a maxijet in there as far as size wise but you do get about 4x the flow! :D

You'll have to post some pictures of the new corals you got from Lee once you get them glued down to where you want them in your tank.

I think your right about the first one. But the second one......not to sure I would say ultra rare. But if it is ultra rare I made out like a fat rat cause it was free.:lol:

They don't look too hot right now, but give them some time and they should heal right up. Do the fire&ice look better in person than in the picture?
 
Man, you're out of room and need a bigger tank already! :) You've been hearing that a lot lately haven't you? Ha! This crazy hobby will get you and your wallet!

BTW, nice choice of corals for your first tank! I still remember when I started out...I had a ton of brown corals in my tank!
 
I have a tank that is 49.9 gallons, Sone said it was too big to be part of the GIRS NANO club, I'm going around him and seeing what you guys think.

Get out of here with that crap! :D I'll even be so nice to start you a thread on the GIRS website so that you'll have a place to post for regular sized tanks. Then what's next? Need a thread for you pico-sized 380? :lol:
 
Not my tank club, I just started a thread for nano tanks! Btw, don't forget your ball when you go home. :D
