Nano wavebox for a frag tank?

My concern is if the box will work properly in a low and wide tank.
The tank is 47inches wide, 9,8 high the water level is 8,2, and the depth is 27,5.
I would only be able to maintain 0,8 inch wave before It would start splashing against the bracing.

So would a nano wavebox work and be useful in providing flow/gas exchange for my corals?

It would work, and it could make a good wave, but I would say that 2 6095 would probably be better for the corals and if you wanted to try to make a wave with these pumps you can, but the directional flow is more important, the wave is nice, makes a natural look in a display and increases polyp extension, but for growing frags, I think directional flow is more important.

That sounds rather heavy as it comes to flow, I would have thought 2x 6055 would be better suited for a tank this size?
Although it is mainly SPS I would think that the flow from a 6095 would easily be too much?

The 6095 have a very wide diffuse flow, the 6055 is more focused. Both can be adjusted to meet what you need, I suspect the 6095 will need to be turned down a little but the 6055 will need to run full power. I would suggest the 6095 because usually these frag tanks have a very dense population of corals and this restricts the flow more, especially with the racks in place, you will also have more power to make a wave in wavemode on a controller if you want to try it. As the frags grow you have power to spare and can turn up the pumps.

Sounds very reasonable, I have replaced the shrouds on my 6055 just because the flow was to sharp for my short main tank.
Getting the new 6095 shrouds was one of the best upgrades I have done in a while.

I think I´ll start by getting a 6095 and se were it would work best. My main tank could always use an upgrade if I find that it is too much for my fragtank.
