nano wavebox on an unlevel tank

my tank is unlevel to some extent, somewhat like 1/16 or 1/8 inch difference

and the tank glass is 7/16 inch--12 mm

is the glass thick enough?

and must i level the tank first? however i'm goin to do so, yet still worried about the glass thickness.

I run a wavebox on a tank with 12mm glass and it's fine. It will depend on the size of the tank and the type of bracing used.

As far as being level goes, the tank being out a little will not cause a problem unless it's causing the tank to twist or flex. Small imperfections are absorbed by the foam that you should use under a tank.

How big is the tank volume wise? I would get it as level as possible, leaning to one side isn't so bad but a low corner and the tank twisting is the real problem.

88 gallon

i've tried the shim but no significant improvement.

still working on leveling it.

The glass is reasonably thick for an aquarium of that size, but I would get it level and that does generally require draining the tank.
