Tonight we made a lot of progress with the tank. The salinity had been stable for several hours so we went ahead and started tearing down my 54 corner tank and adding the LR pieces from it that we wanted to keep.
After moving over most of the LR we tested the water and it was a tad high so we did not move over any live stock or corals from the 54. Hopefully in the next few days the levels will level out and we can move Oreo over. All of the LR has already been cured and running in my 54.
Sorry for the terrible photos, but I cannot figure out how to fix the white balance to make these show up better. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
This is with the canopy on and using my old 150w Coralife MH fixture. I'll be ordering my new MH's soon.
Close up of the rock work on the right hand side. I haven't finished moving over all of my LR and we only moved one red mushroom over to see how it did. All other corals are still in the other tanks.
Far away shot trying to figure out the lighting.
I really like this corner shot.
Another view. Still a bit cloudy but hardly any sand storm at all!
The good news is when the canopy was on we really liked the way the tank looked. I cannot wait to finish the transfer and get the new fixtures on order!
