Tank Cycle Update!
Well tonight we tested the levels and they are almost perfect across the board. The "test corals" we have in there are doing good so that's encouraging. Oreo ate again tonight so I think we're safe. The skimmer has also started pulling green skim
Here is a cool photo of a flower anemone (i think) that came in on a piece of LR we bought. Not the most interesting, but thought the photo was pretty

I was going to make an acrylic sump myself but wimped out, so now I have a 5.5 gal fuge that drains into a rubber maid sump. Not very pretty but it works.
I noticed from other posts here about return pumps, no one seems to even consider quiet one pumps. I have one for a return(about 2 years) and one for my homemade calcium reactor (2 months) and have not had any problems. They are affordable, quiet and energy efficient...just a thought.
Well good luck to you, when you do get time to build your sump/fuge.

I believe that is in the mushroom family, more likely a frilly mushroom perhaps. Or maybe an elephant mushroom (eats meaty foods as it closes up into a balloon / bubble).

Hmmm... interesting. Do you think it's unsafe to have that in my tank with two small clowns?

I can't find a head loss chart for the Eheim pump. Do you know what it's rated at 4/5ft? I know it's 317gph, but is that including head loss?![]()
