Some months ago I bought two Nanostream 6025s. They have run without any real problems, but now one will no longer run without vibrating loudly. I found that the bracket had broken on one side, but after gluing it, it still ran noisily. I then found that the steel washer under the impeller had come loose. Is this covered by the warranty? If not, can it be glued back into place?

The steel washer should be loose. Does the shaft come out? The shaft should be permanently fixed in the motor.

The shaft is fixed in place. Then is there anything else I should look at to see what is causing the noise (kind of a rattle). The other Nanostream is running without any sound I can hear.

There is a stainless steel disk, a sort of tiny washer, it goes on the shaft under the drive unit, it may be loose in the pump.

Roger, that is the washer I meant originally. It is the steel washer that is at the bottom of the shaft when you pull out the whole drive assembly. It's loose on my nanostream, what should I do about this?

I don't understand, it should be loose. It just should be on the shaft, if it is elsewhere in the pump you need to install it on the shaft but it will easily move and fall out.

OK, I'll give it another try. The pump ran previously without any noise. Then after cleaning, it started rattling. I'll run it for a while, maybe it will quiet down.
