Roger,

With the 6055 delivery drawing nearer, I have started to save my pennies for a 6055 but I have searched through this forums archives and the Tunze site. I can't seem to find a definative answer to one question:

Does the 6055 require a 7091/7095 or does it come with a setable speed control similar to the other DC pumps? I realize that it would not have any wave functionality but it is going to be hard enough to justify 200.00 for a pump for a 28 gallon without trying to justify 260.00-450.00 for one. I figure that I can always upgrade to a controller at a later date.

By the way, I have a 6025 in the tank for about two months now and it is silent and never fails to start. A very nice piece of equipment.

Thanks! You do not need a controller, it will have a potentiometer to adjust flow without one.

I ordered my 6055 with the single controller in December. According to your thread on product updates, you mentioned that the 6055 would be available in late March. Is that still the case, as the controller isn't much fun to play with all by itself? Also, should I return the controller, or does this afford better flow control than the potentiometer alone? Thanks and sorry to hijack, just hate to start another thread on a related topic.

If you want the pump to pulse, you need the controller. If not, just get a 6045 and save yourself some money.

just tagging along here... I plan on using (2) 6055s on my 120 setup... they can both be set on the 7095 multicontroller using all of its functions correct?

Dudester, the controller enables it to pulse, the potentiometer only lets you set one constant speed. The pumps should ship from the factory no later than the end of March but it could be mid April before the dealers have them.

PhLipStyLz- Yes, that is correct.

Yes, with a 7092.34 branch adapter. Just keep in mind both will do the same program.
