Hey there Reef Central reefers, I have been setting up a February meeting on reef 2 reef and forgot about RC.... so here is the invitation


OK reefers I have been slacken...... Here is the deal I have no idea what we will do I will provide some smoke chicken quarters and pulled pork at my house located in NE Huntsville. We will be having this gathering on Saturday February 27th please let me know who will be here by Wednesday the 24th so I know how much meat to put on the smoker and what you want chicken or pork.

I am thinking about a couple of door prizes, or maybe a mini frag swap I am still buying so I cant bring anything and I am very open to ideas. I don't want to be boring I just have no idea what we will do other than eat maybe drink and do what we do best talk about our reefs.


I will have the new 300 DD from Ocea by then but it will probably be in the garage so I can complete plumbing and such

Hey there Reefers hope all is well, I am sitting at home today trying to stay warm with all of the snow and ice. We will be holding the meeting at the following location on February the 20th at 1:00pm for a late lunch. I am located off of Winchester and Bell factory rd up towards New Market. For you GPS users please use 729 Bell Factory rd Huntsville Al 35811, as my address is not in most GPS systems yet. My address is 106 red rock dr Huntsville, AL. 35811 if you need to cal my home number is 256-859-1955 and my cell is 360-631-8452.

We will have some door prizes and I will be cooking Pulled Pork and Chicken if someone wants it. With any luck I will have the new tank in the garage and you all can tell me if I am setting it up correctly

So far this is what I have as far as people showing up, I need to know what you want to eat Pork or Chicken, if you plan on bringing something, how many there are of you. I think my wife Dani will be cooking her famous baked beans.

I will try to make it, too. I can bring a xenia rock or two (so-called blue xenia that I got from Philip Root a long time ago - looks pale pink to me) if anyone wants it.
 
I have two of them I will try to get a picture on sunday as my tank is lights out due to Cyno, both frags have 30-40 heads on them
 
I have numerous softies and LPS to trade if someone has SPS frags they'd swap. Corals I can bring include the following:
-- Mushrooms (maroon with green bumps, or bumpy with orange mouth, or bluish purple)
-- Bright green hammer (a couple of heads)
-- Frogspawn (green with pinkish tips)
-- Xenia
-- Toadstool (baby -- about 2" head)
-- LOTS of anthelia
-- bright green sinularia (the mother coral is very large and needs trimming)
I also have a LOT of orange monti cap and purple/pink pocillopora if anyone would care for some. I'm not planning to bring it all unless someone wants it, so let me know.

I will bring it for you, then. Let me know if you are not going to make it to the meeting. You can pick it up at your leisuire at my house in that case.

I'd like to come, I may be headed to Memphis after the meeting. I'm still not 100% about making the trip, but I will let you know by Wednesday.

Rodney we would love to have you up. We will have plenty of food and The tank is being delivered today
 
Wow...this sounds like fun.
If my day is clear I would love to come. That is if you don't mind having a newbie reef keeper there. Lol...not sure you could even call me a reef keeper...I have 1 rock with some zoanthids on it that I just picked up the other day.
I wish I had something to bring to trade, share, or sell...
I am interested in getting some more corals though. So if anyone coming has any corals that are good for beginners they are looking to sale or get rid of I may be interested.
Ill know if I'm coming for sure tomorrow...look forward to seeing all y'all

Michael welcome. You are more than welcome at the meeing on Saturday. Looks like we will have a great turn out and some good food.
 
Hey, Mike. You did not mention what type of corals you were looking for earlier. I have a number of corals that I can frag to trade with you.
