nascar

To compare different types of racing to each other is like comparing apples to oranges....

nascar does get stale to me...seems that the only thing that ever changes is the driver and sponsors...

too much handicapping on HP, and the sport has grown so far away from its roots, it needs a new title. Same goes with top fuel,
the drivers are overpaid, and the cars are so far away from real cars...
Fuel cars are ran by computers..a comotose monkey can drive one.. (300+ mph would still be a blast)
(my automotive training came from a former Penzoil pro stock crew chief....)

Drivers that get flown in just to drive, and fly back to their mansion afterwards drive me crazy...
The real racers (any form) are the guys pushing the car into the trailer, and helping patch it back together afterwards...

(Sill a big Ken Schrader fan, I met him many times since I was a kid, and spent alot of weekends in his pits in my youth...used to chat with him on the phone about twice a week while I was turning wrenches for a personal friend of his...GREAT GUY!)

F1 is wicked! those cars are jets without wings...

Baja is the racing I would do if I had the opportunity...just crossing the finish line is a win in its own right, and is probably the only racing that pushes the driver as hard as the vehicle...

My $0.02

Strongest craziest horsepower engines made = Drag cars. (I used to drag race every weekend at midwest)

Strongest endurance engines = F1 (IMO there is no engine in any racing environment that is its equal.)

Most advance body and chassis = Nascar (This was F1 till 3 or 4 years ago. Now Nascar takes the cake as most advanced design. This includes safety.)

Strongest endurance body and chasis = Baja trucks (miles and miles and miles or as much abuse you can throw at it. My god.... Its AWSOME!)

This is all just my opinion but I love almost all racing. My last project car was a drag car. My next will be a road coarse car. Would love to do a baja truck but the cost is just to high. And any good tracks are to far south west.

true but how often do you see 150,000 people watch a f1 race in person hell you could add f1 indy and a baja race and it would be close...... i think?

all f1 races host over 150, k people... dont confuse IRL and the old CHAMP car with Formula 1 cars... they dont race in north america anymore... its all over seas...

planetf1.com for all the latest....

I've just decided that I no longer care about any of the racing previously referred to in this thread. From now on I'll be investing all my racing time and enthusiasm in the Smart Car...

You guys are all crazy! What about horses or humans? That is where the best racing is!

Too risky when you start hopping them up with performance enhancing drugs. Something dies, and everyone throws a fit.
