I have a 560G DT that I'm looking to put in these two Tangs. I already have an 1' vlimingi QT'ed & ready to go in. A LFS has an 1' Naso that I want to get. Question is will my tank be big enough & do I need to add them in at the same time.

More importantly, wheres the pics of these beauties

Will get the vlimingi out of QT for a good picture soon. A hybrid black tang will also come out of Qt. Consolidating all my fish into this final home. Still a working progress tho.

Wow, that is awesome! I'd also add those large tangs at the same time. Those species are usually not very aggressive... they are just pigs. :0)

Maybe some more pics?!?!

Needs a lot more rock. Is that wood in there?

Yes. Just cheap plastic decors from petsmart as temp solution. Too busy to find time to put on my wet suit to do aqua scape. I also don't want sand in there since it will for sure scratch the acrylics, so my desired aqua scape will need to have a minimum foot print on the actual contact areas to the bottom tank surface to avoid debris from building up. Will either need to build arches myself or find about $1k to buy those Caribsea manmade rocks.

All the LRs, mechanical & chemical filtration are in the 160G sump below.

Love those dimensions.

Should be plenty of room for Naso elegans or lituratus. They stay a bit smaller than the vlamingii, but you already have that one.

We're missing some of the "big" tank folks around here. It would be nice if scooter, dmorty, ca1ore would stop by. And who know whatever happened to snorvich?

Big vlamingii gets ‘crazy’. Had a 14” in my 450 reef and it was tearing the tank up. Should be ok in a FOWLR. I’d put a 4x8 sheet of nori in the clip and V would eat it all .... in one gulp. Naso E. Much better behaved.

I wonder what happened to Steve? Heard a while back he was having some health issues.

Buy whatever rock you want and then make larger rock designs from it using e-Marco 400 (hydraulic cement). This stuff works really well and allows you to build whatever you want. No need to spend a ton of money to have someone else build something.

Those dimensions are great! What kind of filtration are you running? Please create a "build" thread!

Nothing fancy. Just lots of live rocks, 3 filter socks, 2 Red Sea C-Skim 1800 skimmers, Seachem purigen, and Seachem Matrix Carbon. Total sump space is 160G.
