Nassarius snails---what a hoot!

I'd no idea, when I walked into the lfs and asked if they had any nassarius snails, what I was in for.
The owner dropped some food into a tank and the sand erupted. Any of you new to this species, ask for a demo---I went home with five of the little darlings, and find them just amazing. I hope my bad sand patch will too.

I was new to these snails not to long ago myself and I thought it was awesome when I saw them pop up from the sand when I fed the fish. HEHE it was pretty cool how they can smell?? the food.

Those are my wife's favorate, too bad you don't see them any more often than you feed your tank.
