Well, let me know what you guys think. I think I really captured the "Japanese Lagoon" look with this tank, it looks 100x better in person.

I will post more pics once the sand is in too.

Thanks,

Nick

It's hard to get a feel for the dimension of the rockwork. Can you take a top down shot? Looks really cool so far.Love your fish!

Nick, looks great.. here are some extra things that I feel would improve it some more. Scrape off all the coralline algae off the back wall.. all of it. It will improve the sense of depth. #2, On your u shaped aquascape, I bet it would look even better if you left the back taller than the two front tips (rocks coming down at an angle). That way you can see the corals even better. Place lower height corals on those front extensions and taller ones in the back row. Last and most importantly.. take out the joculator and send it to me. It looks like its giving you trouble!! ;)

Yeah it is hard to get a #D feel for the rockwork, it looks much better in person, I cannot capture the depth of the tank/rockwork with a picture.

I can try a top down, but it will have to be in like 4 different pics as I have a canopy on the tank.

man that is awsome thanks for pointing me here
great choices in fish
That tank is ripe for a big nem on the right side;)

Thanks guys. I will have to take more pics as I added the sand bed (roughly 2-3" due to flow it has blown around).

Edward, I need to scrape the coralline algae off the back. I try and do it monthly, but man it is hard reaching back there and getting it, haha ;).

You read my mind about the corals too, I am going for tables along the front and towards the back stags :D. I think it will keep it low in the front and the stags will be a nice touch along the back. I will mix some "bushy" type corals in the middle maybe, tenius, humilis and so on...

I picked up a few more pieces of LR and am going to make the back slightly taller and have it come down in the front.

In the middle I am doing a bunch of nice 3-4" ultra maxima's and maybe on the left or right side a nice gigantea anemone, we will see if I can find one.

I will try and get some updated pics this weekend :).

I wish that i was a multi millionare so I could afford all the awesome angels you have in your tank. Jk But you have an awesome tank

Wow man you have an amazing selection of fish. The Interruptus, the Joculator, the Resplendents, the Goldflake. Geez.

I LOVE the fish selection! Do you plan on adding any nice wrasses to the tank aswell?? Very nice though...cant wait to see it when its done!

Bret

Nick, I agree with Ed. Scrape that algae off! Tanks that just have clean glass look much better. It adds depth and shows colors better.

Love the shape of the rock work, but I'd try to change the height somewhat. I'd throw a rock up towards the front on the right to create a pinnacle effect and add depth.

Again we love your fish selection!
