I have yet to attend the Willamsport swaps(i know 4 years i have been slacking) This year ill be there!

I have missed every single swap because I had to work for the past 4 years. Now I have to beg the wife to let me go to a swap on her birthday. What luck! :(

Bring her for lunch in williamsport and just so happen to drive to the swap after.

35 people already listed on Fragswapper and its only been up 2 days! Lets keep it going! Invite everyone. I can't wait for a fun filled day!

We have a few changes coming to the swap flyer so keep an eye on it. Frag Demo is going to be added and we are adding some time to swap day! More fun of course!

But you will enjoy it! Michelle and anyone else who is considering traveling long distances. Send me a pm so I can get you in touch with a few local hotel/motels for accomodations for your stay. If there is enough interest right off the bat, I can talk to the motel we have used in the past for a discount on multiple rooms.

Any takers?

:D

You're a sweetie, Rick! Thank you for volunteering the local motel information for us. I will send you a pm. And, if I can make it, I promise no pickles in the cookies!

Tony Vargas started his aquatic adventures at the age of seven, with Guppies in a pickle jar. Shortly thereafter, he was breeding a large host of freshwater tropicals. In the early eighties he took a giant leap forward and assembled his very first salt water aquarium (fish only). The biological system of choice back than were under gravel filters. Moving on to more challenging waters, in the mid 1980's he took another leap forward and experimented with marine invertebrates and corals. At that point in time a sump loaded with Bio-balls was the biological filter of choice. Moving forward in the late eighties a handful of aquarist and Tony were among the first in United States to successfully keep and maintain Acropora alive in captivity, long term. He started to share this experiences and knowledge with others through the many articles written on the subject. These articles were written in a column titled "Feature Coral" for FAMA. One of the Acropora articles in FAMA was acknowledge in Carden Wallace text book on Acropora titled "Staghorn Corals of the World". Today, Tony SCUBA dives around the world taking underwater photos and observing many of these creatures in their natural environment. With his writings he has effectively communicated his experiences and observations. Tony has traveled the States and Europe giving lectures and consultations on corals, reef fish husbandry, and complete system build-up.

Currently, Tony just completed working on a book titled "The Coral Reef Aquarium". This book focuses on the basics of reef keeping, how to properly assemble a coral reef aquarium (five great examples), and the long term care of these critters in a captive environment. Forward by Sanjay Joshi and Preface by Charles Delbeek.

Can't wait!! Sound like he will have an awesome presentation. You wouldn't know if he will be bringing his book to sell at the swap?
And by the way Dan, I already took that day off of work so I'll be making the trip to Williamsport. If you need help the day before let me know.
