NCPARS needs Quickbooks Pro 2007

Hello, I am in the process of transferring the club's financial records from Mal's computer to my computer. In order to so, Mal and I have determined that the club needs to purchase a copy of Quickbooks Pro 2007 so I can run the club's files from my home computer. The least expensive price we have found so far on the internet for a new retail version is $149. Before we purchased it (we have BOD approval for that), we thought we would see if anyone has the ability to obtain the program for less than that.

If you are willing to obtain or donate a copy of Quickbooks Pro 2007 to NCPARS, please let me know in the next few days.

Although this is a great idea, Academic versions are for use in academic environments. There are license limitations on using this program. See the note:

NOTE - This product is for personal use only and cannot be used in any commercial environment. This version will not run an accounting program.

I think we need a commercial version.

Does it have to be 2007? I may be able to get you 2006 Pro possibly for free.

Yes. 2007 has some features which will allow me to send emails to Mal (our accountant/current treasurer) where he can review my entries and help me if I need help. Also, the files are currently made with a 2007 version. I have the 2005 version. The least expensive retail price I can find is $150.

I also found a place for nonprofits where I can get Quickbooks Pro 2006 for free. It's called Tech Soup. Unfortunately they do not yet have Quickbooks 2007 and don't know when they will get it from Intuit.
