That Fish Place just sent out this flyer for the the Winter Frag Event. Two speakers, demos, talks, frags... it looks to be a good time for everyone! Feel free to pre-register at fragswapper.com, this is especially useful if you are interested in selling frags, pre-arranging trades or purchases, or just seeing some of the frags that people will have for sale/trade. We hope to see you there!

That's great, thanks! There are now 70 people signed up on fragswapper, and there will be more. We are really looking forward to meeting some new folks and having something to break up winter.

I'd love to go but it's looking like I'm going to have to skip it. Budget just got really tight for a bunch of reasons all coming together.

Yeah, that's a real problem for lots of people. Sorry to hear it! TFP will be having a bunch of specials that weekend too, and I'm going to try to post some info on those too.

Just signed up. I don't have much spare cash laying around, but I'll enjoy the DIY stuff. Maybe I'll find something there for cheap.

Getting frustrated of being left in the dark with no flyers from TFP. I have mentioned this to them every time I am there. I get the catalogs but nothing else, frustrating considering the amount of money I spend. Hmmm anyone know who I could talk to up there?

I have my flyer you could have the day of the event. I tagged a few frags on swapper and really should not use my flyer. Its yours if you want it saltaholic.

No my point is that I miss out on sales and such because I do not receive daily flyers, and I am trying to get that corrected.

Post something in their forum on here, you'll have much quicker response than calling or emailing.

Went to TFP today... it is now all open between the "salt fish" and what *use* to be behind them (pond fish.) No wall. They moved their low coral tank, too. Still, I'm not sure if the fish room will be done w/ remodeling before the swap.

I was there yesterday as well. I talked to one of the guys. They told me that the new section won't be ready until March or April. We'll see.

Joe,

I had the same problem. Registering every time I was there, asking about getting on the mailing list at the front desk, and everything else I could think of. One of the employees told me that their computer system sucks. I believe it! Anyway, I finally broke through when I wrote a small "memo" on their forum here, and I got a personal letter and coupon in the mail. I've had no problems since.

We've gotten a list from TFP of additional discounts that they will be offering the day of the swap, there's a bunch of items (like 300 of them) that will be roughly another 10% off the "loyalty price." They are supposed to have a listing or flyer for us at the swap listing these, so we can be sure to pick up the best deals. This is separate from the 20% off one item coupon that will come with admission to the swap, which (I think) may be limited to non-sale items (like any livestock).

Maybe I'll do that, I know that it is not on purpose but in this hobby everyone wants and needs to save a penny whenever possible.

Saltaholic, You going to the swap? If so I'll bring your camera. How is the light working out for you? Bobby

Yeah more then likely I will be there. What time you going up? The light is great I retroed it into my canopy that is now hanging from the ceiling. The color/wattage is perfect. Yeah we can make a swap at the meet. See you there:)
