Thanks very much for assisting with this Dan. I think the idea of the wine pouring into the fish is neato. The Moorish Idol shape works well with the long dorsal fin. Would pouring into a coral shape be any better?
The line art is classy but I think ideally we would incorporate color too.
Being a red wine fan, the current color of the wine isn't doing much for me but maybe it's the magic green wine which can pour into fish.
If color accuracy is an issue, maybe red wine could pour into a percula clown or some other orange or red fish. Maybe one of those mythical powder red tangs from the April Fools issue of ReefKeeping! Just tossing out ideas.
I'm ok with leaves in the logo but let's be careful to not make them too prominent. Not everyone is down with all of Sonoma county's agricultural products and we don't want to drive people away with what they consider an objectionable logo. I'd rather err on the side of caution than have people think we are the 420 reef club, or that agricultural products are more important to us than coral.

yeah i didnt meant make it prominent but i remember there was a logo you guys made where there were sorta hidden leaves i thought it was kinda cool

The logo looks cool but isn't it kind of wrong to use a fish that none of us would actually put into our reef tanks? What about some bad *** Naso species? Achilles have some cool colors and shape.

Sorry, I didn't realize that the word *** is considered inappropriate in a forum that makes so many references to marijuana. Boy, am I out of touch with reality.

I hear your point about using images of reef safe fishes. Using an image of coral might be another idea.

The wine pouring into the nano reef is not only a waste of wine but bad for the fish and corals. None the less...IT IS A GREAT IDEA!!! (caps used to emphasize excitement!) Actually, just a Bordeaux style bottle with a snifter shaped nano next to it would suffice. Also keep the animal activists of our backs. Sorry, I live in Cotati. Gotta always be wary of the.... well...let's just say, Cotati "types".

Sorry for throwing you under the bus on this but I have seen the zebra and the seahorse you made in photoshop so I know what you can do.
I still like the idea of the wine and I agree with getting something more reefy but can't figure what would work best.
The nano is a good idea but not sure it would show up.
Here is the version I did with subtle leaves in the background. Feel free to use this anyway you want.
By the way I can only see Dans images if I go to photobucket and look up tikidan. Then I can only see a small image. Is it a Mac vs Pc thing?

i like the one that was full of color and stuff, the 3 hidden leaves i think could add a comic aspect to the club. Its not obvious but kind of makes you laugh when you notice it...at least thats how it is for me

Dan it seemed as if Firefox was faster is there any other benifit to it as my wife spent hours customizing her yahoo page and I am very used to googling everythig.

I opened up this thread with IE and TikiDan's pics are missing, but kokaneejr's color pic is there. Safari Also shows all the pics
But both IE and Safari lack the quick reply box at the bottom of the trread page.....
May just be a security setting for the reply box, but I have no idea what is making the images not show up.
