NERAC will be held March 11 & 12 at Atlantis Marine World Aquarium. Looks like it is going to be quite an event and close to home to boot. I believe their doing a back-stage tour of the aquarium as well.

We may be able to get discounted admission, so please post here if you're interested in attending!

If we get enough people who want to do a day trip maybe we could have a bus take us all up there?

I spoke to the president of LIRA about possible discount for NJ reefers. Please spread the words and I will let all of you know as soon as I hear back from him. As of now, I believe the following speakers have already committed to the event:

I know for a fact that LIRA is in the process securing more speakers and many vendors have already committed to attend too.

Just an fyi to you all. Last year, we had dinner (AWESOME food BTW) right in front of the 20,000g reef tank and then we stood by the tank watching lights go off one by one. It was at this time schools of tangs and anthias display courting behavior and all I can say is WOW!~ Heck, maybe this year we can see them spawnââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦. 

We hope to do it as a bus trip. I would expect the bus and entrance to be in the 75-100 for the day trip, but that's a total uneducated guess. Hopefully it will come in less than anticipated.

Here is the price. I belive it is more than reasonable. The hotel stay is $109 per night.

Yes. Looks like we won't be able to get a discount on the tix.

A bus trip will run $31 for members, $40 for non-members. There are only 49 seats on the bus. Additionally, you will need to get your own admission tickets (50$ for Saturday) into the conference.

The bus will leave at 7am from Edison, returning at 9pm.
