very cool but those are definitely not perculas. They are 100% Amphiprion ocellaris. I'm sure many others would agree. Either way its awesome that your getting that variability in pattern and lack of pattern.

Parents are a wild caught true percula pair that most think are onyx but they are just trues, 100% true Percula..............

Wow I stand corrected, The parents are gorgeous. I will say though that I have never seen such miss barred percs. Generally you only see Amphiprion ocellaris with those lack of patterns and the rusty orange color. Looks can be deceiving though. I will say that I agree with you about the male being a true percula but your female does have the basic characteristics to classify her as an onyx true percula. You have the same basic pair of clowns I am hoping to find. Post some pics of the babies once they start to develop the black pigment in their skin.

The young are 13 months old and they thank you for the nice comments. The front stripes are done, some are still getting middle and 3rd bars or spots/misbars. Some should get black, kept these guys and another dozen because of their bars or lack there of, want to see them finish coloring up. If they are done with bars I'd have 6 or 7 that have only spots, no bars but time will tell.
They're in clown school now learning how fun a nem can be.
Ryan too bad you're not local, I've got a percula pair(male DM picasso/female wc true)
that are spawning. Their rbta has temp faded out their black but nice clowns the male was a grade A from Doni Mari who lost his mate, the female wc wasn't as black as my other pair's female.
I'll keep posting pics as they finish growing.

Percs tend to show stripes much much later than Ocellaris. I've seen Percs that were 1-1/2" that were misbarred but still grew into full-barred Percs.

i have also been told that they can take a long time to develop there full stripes. i have also been told that nutrition can also effect the stripes. I will say that i can only dream that my small pair that i have will look half as nice as your breeding pair!!!
