I got a huge orange zoo from a freinds tank,Just wondering on placement and flow. They have been opening and closing quite a bit.Par are good. All 0...Spg 1.026 temp 79.I have them high in the tank under 4x55 watt t-5 and a power head with a hydor flow diflector flowing over them on a 3 min on off cycle...Any suggestions will be appreciated

They do not need strong flow. I'd say medium indirect flow should be good. Try deflecting the flow off rocks or glass to help diffuse it.

Thats a nice peice of rock ! My own zoa's do will with indirect flow, used the hydor flo myself a while back but rattled to much in my tank..

indirect random flow is good for zoas IMHO... just enough flow where their skirts are moving but not to a point where they are forced to close... good luck and excellent looking colony... :)
