need 55 gal barrel.

Does anyone know where we can get a 55 gal barrel? I would like to redo the ro unit with a bigger barrel. Any suggestions?

I have a bunch of plastic 55's at I-25 and Arapahoe if you know anyone that makes the commute. $15 each. They used to hold soap, so a good wash down would be required.

If you have a bunch, Im interested in 2. How hard is it to remove soap residue. Got any pics of it? Maybe next wekend perhaps?

I personally wouldn't risk it. In the mantis forum Dr. Roy even recommends against using a pop bottle because of the possibility that the bottle may have chemical residues after washing. As reactive as good RO/DI water is I would be afraid of using a barrel that held soap.
Call Fishybuisness I think they have a connection for barrels.

I am using the barrels to store RO and then to mix my salt solution before it goes into my tank. I haven't had any problems.

It is very easy to tell if the barrel is clean as the soap foams very easily. Once the foam stops, the barrel is clean. Also, the soap is low PH, so you could even test the PH of your RO water stored in the tank.

If anyone is still interested, I'd actually prefer to trade for bright colored SPS frags. I just set my 225 back up and lost all my old frags during my house move.

Good enough for me. I can swing a few frags for 2 barrels. Are you coming to the swap? If so, can you load 2 for me and maybe one for Tracy? If not I can come in a couple of weekends and picked them up.

I plan on attending the frag swap in the Springs, but I have a little VW Jetta and I don't think I could put even one barrel in it.

Anyone else interested? I have about 6 barrels.

Russ, we need could use one for the swap for topoff water, can you get them before the swap? we could just use yours maybe I don't think we need our own for the swap unless you need to get yours going right away.

FYI, a place called RMI in Commerce City manufactures plastic water holding tanks. 22-5200 gallons. Picked up a couple of these for my RO/DI and SW mixing/storage. $80 each if I remember right.
