This might seem odd but here is what i'm looking for......
I'm looking for anyone on here that is willing to take frags of anything out of my tank FOR FREE with the understanding that I can also take any frags out of your tank for free. With some reasonable exceptions of course such as the colony isn't large enough to frag, or its some crazy elite limited edition high end $500 per polyp type item.
My main objective here is that i want to have a free backup source of frags should anything (knock on wood) go wrong. No strings attached. The same would apply for you should anything go wrong as well.
I have a few buddies already that i feel i can depend on for this but the more backups i can have, the better. You need to pretty much have a "what's mine is yours, what's yours is mine" mentality.
My requirements are that you must be a longstanding RC member of greater than 5 years, you've got at least 1000 posts, you aren't a highly active seller of frags to people, you're within 25 miles of me, your current tank is at least 2 years old, and you've had good success at keeping SPS. I also have the right to choose and its not based purely on the criteria above. I consider this more of a long term partnership and you can interview me as well. The closer you live to me, the more posts, the more years, the better. I'll need a pic of your tank and I can send you one of mine too. These frags need to be for your own personal display tank, not a friend's, not for your store, not for your frag tank.
You'll need to come over (I live in Palos Verdes) with a large cooler and be prepared to take frags of whatever you want. I'm talking hundreds of dollars worth of frags you can choose from. You might look at my list and say you only want a few of the items. That's fine...but i'm going to expect you to open up your tank to me as well. I might also say the same thing, but it's more about having the mutual understanding than actually exchanging anything at this time.
My tank is doing well right now and i'm at a point where a really bad event would be completely devastating and reliable backups would be critical to a successful rebound (should it happen). The more the better.
I have a number of decent frags in my tank, but pretty much everything is free for the taking should someone be interested in partnering up.

I realize this isn't for everyone, but if you do this you can pretty much be ensured that you'll have a free source of frags from me for as long as i'm reefing (FYI, i've been on RC since 2000).
