need a little help with salifert magnesium test kit

I have a little questions from anyone that is using this test. When you draw Mg-3 into the syringe which part should be at the 1ml mark? I read the instructions and it said the black tip of the syringe should be at the 1ml mark, which would draw the Mg-3 up to the .75 mark on the syringe. When I went to my LFS today to have them test the magnesium, they drew the liquid all the way to the 1ml mark with the long tip at the end of the syringe connected. Which way is correct?

ive always did it so the bottom of the plunger is at the 1 ml mark

misread a bit. there should be air in there. this will compensate for the tip.

so doing it my way is correct right? having the tip of the syringe be at the 1ml mark and having the Mg-3 drawn up to the .75 mark.

the air self compensates for the mg3 in the tip. another words I think your doing it wright.
