Need a little help

Hi all,

I recently received some zoa frags via mail. It took about 3 days to get here, packed with heater, and came nicely packaged. Two out of the six frags have like a clear membrain around the polyps that seems to kinda flake off with flow, and rubbed on lightly with tooth brush. Any ideas of what it could be?

Mucus? I know that some polyps excreat a mucus membrane to help pull food particles in their mouth.
