Need a new AC adapter for my Osmolator.

My HOB skimmer overflowed due to a clogged sponge. Water dripped into the powerstrip. My new Tunze Osmolator was connected to this powerstrip. As a result, it is toast.

My father was going to replace the AC adapter, but we can not find a similar one anywhere. The controller box of the ATO didn't get any water on it. I believe that it is only the AC adapter that is fried.

Can I please purchase one from Tunze? My unit is less than 6 months old, and I will simply be heartbroken if I'm forced to buy a completely new unit.

The third picture down is of my ruined AC adapter.

roger can tell you exactly the one you should get. radio shack has them, as I had to get a new one a few weeks ago. I got the 9V, handles up to 1500 amps, tip positive. take the old fitting with you if you can, there are different size od and id. Im pretty sure the od is 5.0 mm. the transformer part that plugs into the wall doesnt come with the tip that plugs into the controller.

It doesn't have to be identical to the one you had, it should supply at least 9V/1000mA, be tip postive with a 2.5 * 5mm tip. As a few people have said they are readily available and often for about half of what the original costs. If you want the original style unit you can order it on tunze.com, it is part 5012.010

Referring my Dad to this page, as I am electrically inept. I'l have him respond using my username, if needed.

Thanks so much for your help. :)
