Need advice about Condy Anenome

My Condy was quite wide with tentacles everywhere but now it has reduced tentacle size and possibly loading them, I see little brown strings and don't know of its the Condy slowly shriveling up or poop actually. His foot is still a good color and sticks quite well to the glass, his mouth is sometimes wide open but it does get smaller if not fully closed, I've also noticed the tips getting thinner with more of a neon green tint to some but not all. I will post 2 pics to further help, so if anyone can give me advice here id greatly appreciate it. Tried 2 pics but it only lets me do 1??

An open mouth isnt a good sign but it doesnt look to bad.

How big is your tank? What lights do you have? What are your water parameters? (Numbers please). How long has the tank been setup?

Its a 20g tall, just did 25% water change and tests are;
pH-8.2
Nitrate/nitrite-0ppm
Phosphate-.25ppm
Ammonia- .50-1ppm, I'm using ammolock for that but used it this morning before water change and have to use every 2 days so Tueaday and Thuraday next.
Temp-79
Salinity-1.024
I use a 12 hour full intensity Orbit Marine LED light
Nano protein skimmer
800GPH wave maker
The tank has been set up for 2.5-3 weeks so it's fairly new still

The tank hasnt finished cycling yet. You need to keep doing water changes to get that ammonia level down. I would strongly suggest bringing back the anemone until your tank has finished cyclying or i dont think it stands much of a chance. We suggest waiting 8-12 months before getting an anemone ao that the tank is stable.

I took it out, I just did a water change 2 days ago plus I use ammo lock every 2 days, here's the thing tho I'm going out of town for 9 days on the 10th., so should I do another change Wednesday or wait until i come back?

Is there anything else in the tank? If there is i would try to bring them back to the lfs till the tank has finished cycling. Then you can go on vacation while the cycle continues and may be finished by the time you come home

Yea i have a tang, clown, and dotty, but they are doing really well; eating, active, no ich spots or gasping. Should I still do another water change of 25% or wait until I get back?

Alright should I put the ammo lock in as well
Even tho i used it this morning or wait and use it Thursday before I leave then check levels
And do another change when I get back in 9 days

Actually to be honest with the tank not cycled and you not being around for 9 days i would bring the fish back, i highly doubt they will make it 9 days without water changes or ammonia lock. The tang alone puts a huge hit on your biofilter and shouldnt be in a 20 gal anyway.

Dont take it the wrong way, just trying to help.

Whoa, do you have a marine aquarist house sitter?

My tanks would require serious top off, feeding, and maintenance during an interval that long.

I would:

-return the anemone (very little chance of survival in a none cycled tank)
-prepare a large container for fresh water top off. enough for 10 days. set up auto top off.
-do a LARGE water change before you leave. do a LARGE water change when you come back.
-hire a tank sitter or your most responsible friend to check out the tank every other day. Prepare some salt water on the side. do a WC mid week if ammonia starts to raise.

Thank you and ya I have a guy coming in, granted I leave tomorrow and just finished a 25% water change my ammonia is still .50ppm. Should I do a 50% when I return? The clown, tang, dottyback, fire shrimp, and blenny are doing just fine right now but I'm trying to really reduce this ammonia. Everything else is 0ppm

I would just say a prayer that they are alive when you return. That's a huge bioload for a fully cycled 20g not to mention a 20g that hasn't finished cycling yet.

Your tank is just starting its cycle all you have is ammonia with no nitrites and no nitrates. I'm hoping the best for you but I seriously doubt anything will live through it and if it does will have heath issues from the ammonia. It burns fish' gills.

I would go get some of the snake oil cycle in a bottle and dump it in now. Also you can use Prime to get the ammonia down but I'd at least try the cycle in a bottle Dont remember the name but there is a thread on it first page newbie forum.
