hey all,

okay, about gluing...

i'm tired of suction cups. (this is not a fish porn phrase, you pervs)

So i'm going to glue my Mag-Float to a Seio 820 holder.

Question: What glue shall i use? I remember someone mentioning the use of an epoxy, but forgot what kind.

any ideas?

goto petco or petsmart and get the cheap magnets. use superglue gel and allow it 15 minutes to cureand placeit back inthe tank andsave some money. have a great weekend!!!

Gel type superglue should work.

JB Weld should work well too, and I would think plain old silicone glue will work.

reefnetworth- what kind of magnets are you talking about from petco? I was also looking for some magnets suitable to use underwater for a different project.

i agree with all of the above... but for the life of me I can't picture what suction cups have to do with fish porn...

PS. Read the "Clamma Sutra" ;)

Oh, sfsuphysics did the same with his Seio pumps (remember the tank tour?) He said he got his at Aqua Traders (the "wholesale" store in uh, Daly City? Brisbane?) I plan to do the same.

I think I'd use regular 2 part epoxy.

I don't know if I'd use jbweld. I think it has steel in it, or something. Not that that is bad, but I think regular 2 part 5-minute epoxy would work just as well.
