Need advice on transferring fish between DTs

I have two DTs, a 29g and a 40B. I am going to tear down the 29g. If my Salt SG is the same and the temps are the same and all water params are nominal, is it as simple as netting the livestock and dropping them in the new tank? The new tank is cycled but totally devoid of livestock. We are only talking about 2 shrimp, 5 snails and 5 hermits.

depends on how many fish at a time. now that the tank is cycled and your adding fish if you add to many to start with it can create a mini cycle. but if your just talking about moving the shrimp, snails and hermits then you can add them all at the same time

You should be fine since you're going from a smaller tank to a larger one. As long as the PH is also the same you should be able to add the livestock directly to the new tank. If you're nervous, drop in a hermit crab and watch him for a bit. When I upgraded tanks I used an especially large bristle worm to test the new tank. I figured if he could survive the night then everything is ready.
