Need ASAP help, making an order.

I am about to make an order for a camera set up, since if I do, I want it to ship out so I can get it soon.

I currently have a sony DSC-F707, not able to change lenses, 5mp, it was top of the line when it came out.

Example pics to come below in a bit when they finish loading.

So, from the sample pics, would a 30D with a 100mm 2.8 macro take a lot nicer fish pics and the 28-135 lens it comes with take better vacationing/family type of photos, would there be a big difference?

I just don't want to go blow away 2k and get the same end product, would the 30D and other lenses blow these pics away?

Would the 30D blow those pictures away, or is it a waste of $2,000?

While the 30D has the ability to blow those away, it all depends on YOUR ability

I will get the 28-135 lens and the 100mm f/2.8.

I personally would skip the 28-135, just ask Beerguy. It doesn't get steller reviews and the 28mm won't be very wide for general use on a crop camera. There are many other, and cheaper, options that will have better optics.

the 24-105 L f.4 is a sweet lens for me tack sharp. gets used alot, only downfall it has and its really not a downfall is that it is a f.4 instead of a 2.8
