Need color in my tank!!!! Any suggestions?

Hello guys. Currently in my tank I have 1 Blonde Naso, 1 yellow tang, 3 red fire fish, 4 purple ff, a pair of onyx clowns, and a 6 line wrasse. My naso and yellow are best friends. I would hate to add another tang and he disrupt the harmony in my tank. I would like to add some colorful schooling fish but I don't want to add anything that has high food demands because I feed my fish every other day. Any suggestions for my tank?

What about a flame angel ? I love these guys.

Chromis are bright [blue or lt. green] and fast...and hardy. Get 3 all at once. They're hard to mix otherwise. Keep only 3 and you'll likely have all of them at year end.

I am thinking of getting a flame angel soon. I am worried about it eating my soft corals though.

When I put together a fish list for my 65g, part of the criteria was that each fish needed to be a different colour - we wanted all the colours of the rainbow, to make up for the fact that there would be very few/no corals in the tank.

So far, you've got grey/yellow (naso), red/white (firefish), purple (firefish), black & white (clowns), pink/green (sixline), yellow (tang), and to me the one thing that stands out is there's nothing blue. Blue corals are hard to come by, so I'm willing to bet your tank would really colour up with the addition of a blue fish or even a small school.

How about a damsel, or blue chromis, or - if you're willing to risk it - a cherub pygmy angel? Cherubs are more of a purple-blue colour, but the edges of their fins are a stunning electric blue.

The problem I see with the suggestions of chromis and anthias is if you are only going to be feeding every other day - I feel these fish do better being fed little and often, 2 or even 3 times a day.

A dwarf angel, as others have suggested, would perhaps be better suited...

I've heard that it is hit or miss with flame angels.

I've had one for about 7 months now with no problems.

It does peck at everything but has not bitten anything, I believe this is its natural way of feeding from the rocks.

You're right. I am leaning towards the blue reef chromis. How many should I go with? In my size tank?

I would maybe get 8 or so

Just remember the blue reef chromis get to 5", where the blue green reef chromis only reach about 3".

In a 150g I'd probably go with five, maybe a few more. If your other fish are fine with a meal every 48h or so I'm sure chromis would be okay too, just keep an eye on them. wetwebmedia's chromis page has some nice pictures, I'd go with Chromis cyanea, the blue chromis, rather than blue-green chromis if you can find them - the blue is stunning, IMO they'd have more visual impact.
