Drilling isn't that hard, just make sure you go slow. Use plumber's putty to make a pool for the water. Start drilling on an edge to get a groove, so the bit doesn't travel all over your tank. Slowly tilt it over until you get it flush. Let the weight of the drill do most of the cutting, don't push it through the glass. Tape the back side, and put a towel on the bottom so when you do break through it doesn't land with any force on glass. Change the water in your pool every minute or two, and you'll be through in about 5 minutes or so. If you need help, just let me know. Make sure you check with the manufacteror to check that the glass isn't tempered. I've read about some small tanks being tempered, even on the sides, so you want to make sure that's not the case with yours.
