My 4" male blue jaw has been with me ~ 1year now. He was always very bold, active and a voracious eater. Then ~4 months ago I had an ich outbreak and moved all fish to QT. All the others came out of Cuprimine and Prazipro (just in case) treatment successfully and went back into the display after an 8 week fallow period.
The blue jaw has never showed signs of ich or any other disease but in QT he became listless, hiding often, and quit eating. After QT I moved him to my in-line frag tank rather than the display to avoid competition. After 2 months he is quite thin and seems very weak. He wanders aimlessly around the tank kind of bumping into things and hides often. I did realize that if I place food right in front of his mouth he will eat, but he shows no interest in food otherwise.
His behavior is very wierd. It's almost as if he is blind, but I don't think that is the case. Still no outward signs of disease, but today I did notice 3 white filaments protruding from the anus. Could an internal parasite be the problem?
