Need help bypassing timer

This Marineland LED is past warranty, and the timer is fried. How can I bypass the timer and just use this on my controller?

The light is from my office tank (has new lights since this died) I just want to have it working as backup.

One wire is marked red, the other three are unmarked.

Unsure if it would just be the timer - that board looks fine and really doesn't have any failure prone components on it.

I don't have this light, so I'm going to need:

- pictures of the circuitry on the other end of the connector
- voltage reading of of each wire relative to the circuit ground. If that's not easy to locate a picture might be able to help spot a good point.

I'm suspecting a secondary voltage regulator failure

Looking to borrow a voltage meter.

I was told by marineland @ MACNA that it was the timer based on the counting 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 E code that flashes before the light turns itself off.
