doing a 20 minute formalin dip at 10ml per gallon of water. its a high dose yes. i added an airstone to keep water oxygenated. ill post as to how they are doing in the am.

i'm hoping there's a typo or some extremely weak formalin. 10 ml per gallon is too much, i do 50 minute baths using 1 ml per 5 liter of water. please verify the quantity of formalin you're using.

no thats right im not using it as a dose for a tank. im using it for a dip as instructed look on the bottle. the high dose can casue gill damage due to lake of oxygen but i added an airstone so its saturated its been over 20 minutes they are doing fine. the parasites on the other hand are dying right out of them!

did a 24 minute dip with 10ml per gallon of formalin . horses looking okay afterwards. ill update 2marrow.

okay this am both horses are parading around. the male that wasnt eating before got all excited when i came near the tank. he is now swiming up and down in front of the tank. this is a huge turn around. all i can say is that my ponies look to be back onm track to improved health. i will continue every other day 30 minute dips. i am also lowering salinity in the tank. thanks guys for all your help. i thought the male was a goner! not eating all weekend. buut now hes packing the pounds back on. he doesnt look thin anymore! thanks again all!:rollface:

im gonna also set up a 5 1/2 gallon qt for them so if things go the other way ill start the formalin treatment that dan praises about immediatly. thanks guys ! ill post pictures of the pair by tommarow! right here.
